Thermilate Paint Additive

Thermilate is a paint additive which makes paint and coatings insulate.Thermilate is made of ceramic micro spheres developed using technology in a NASA technology exchange program. Thermilate has been independently tested and scientifically proven by world leading labs and government bodies. It is completely safe to use, non toxic and environmentally friendly. It is used both domestically and commercially and almost anywhere you can apply paint/coatings.

Recommended Uses

New applications for Thermilate are being constantly discovered. Ease of use and effective results means that Thermilate can be used where other methods of insulation cannot. When added to the appropriate coating, Thermilate will provide effective insulation in summer and winter on, just a few examples:

• Homes, offices, supermarkets and farm buildings

• Industrial plant such as oil storage and metal shipping containers

• Walls (interior and exterior), ceilings, floors, roofs, metal wall cladding, hot air ducts, pipes

• Caravans and mobile homes, portakabins, garden sheds

• Steel and GRP hulls on boats and yachts

The uses are endless, almost anywhere you can apply paint/coatings, you can apply Thermilate.
  Application

Thermilate can be mixed with any paint or coatings and on any surfaces. Simply add one pouch (550g) to 5 litres of paint. It is recommended that the paint is mixed in a mixing bucket with Thermilate, which should be added gradually. For maximum benefit two coats containing Thermilate should be applied. If the paint mixed with Thermilate has been standing for more than two hours, stir thoroughly for 1 – 2 minutes.
  Handling and Storage

Thermilate comes as a white powder additive and when handling large quantities in a confined space, standard procedure as per handling of dust must be employed. Keep containers closed. Store in a cool dry place. Any dust generated during handling or processing. Should be removed by sweeping, vacuuming and wet mopping. Avoid breathing dust.
